ReplyDeletePHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Heavyweight boxing legend Muhammad Ali was honored on Thursday for his humanitarian efforts and civil rights work at an awards ceremony in Philadelphia.
ReplyDeleteThe $100,000 award called the Liberty Medal, sponsored by the nonprofit National Constitution Center, was presented to Ali by his daughter, Laila Ali, a former boxer herself.
Ali, 70, who has been silenced by a long battle with Parkinson's disease, was honored as an icon of constitutional ideals and the American dream, the center said.
He "has been an outspoken fighter for religious and civil rights; a conscientious objector who took his battle to the Supreme Court and won; an ambassador for peace and justice worldwide, and a tireless humanitarian and philanthropist," the center said in a statement.
"Muhammad Ali continues to this day to inspire young people throughout the world," Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter told the ceremony.
Since he retired from boxing in 1981, Ali has worked on philanthropic and social causes around the world. He has made goodwill missions to Afghanistan and North Korea, delivered medical aid to Cuba, traveled to Iraq to secure release of 15 U.S. hostages during the first Gulf War, and most recently, worked for the eventual release of the three American hikers held captive in Iran, the center said in its statement.
"We are here today to honor a true champion of freedom," David Eisner, the center's president and chief executive, told the audience.
Ali did not speak at the ceremony, held in the hometown of his bitter former rival Joe Frazier, who died of liver cancer last November. But his wife, Lonnie Ali, said he was "deeply honored ... to be a beacon of liberty."

MANILA, Philippines - Inmates at the Quezon City Jail warned yesterday a couple accused of abusing their former helper that they will get the same treatment they allegedly gave her.
ReplyDelete“We are ready here. Our irons are ready for them,” the inmates at the jail’s female dormitory chanted in Filipino upon hearing the news that Annaliza Marzan was on her way there.
Marzan and her husband, Reynold, are facing charges for reportedly beating Bonita Baran during the five years she worked for them. Baran had alleged that Annaliza used an iron on her face.
The couple had asked Judge Germano Francisco Legaspi of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 77, to allow them to be detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), where they had surrendered. Legaspi earlier issued a warrant for the Marzans’ arrest on charges of serious illegal detention, a non-bailable offense.
Apart from the charges of serious illegal detention, Annaliza was also charged with two counts of attempted homicide before the RTC and seven counts of serious physical injury before the Metropolitan Trial Court.
The prosecutor who conducted the preliminary investigation of the complaints filed by Baran dismissed the charges against Reynold as an accessory to the crime of serious physical injuries and attempted murder for insufficiency of evidence.
As the judge decided on the request, Annaliza and Reynold were brought to the jail’s female dormitory, which is housed at Camp Karingal by Senate personnel at past 3 p.m. Minutes later, Senate personnel escorted Reynold out of the female dormitory and brought him to the main jail facility along EDSA.
Legaspi issued his ruling denying the Marzans’ motion at past 4 p.m.
In junking the motion, Legaspi said he found no compelling reason to depart from the mandate of Republic Act 6975, which states that persons awaiting trial shall be detained at the city jail.
“Any perceived inconvenience the children might suffer in visiting their parents at different detention cells is so insignificant so as to warrant the detention of both accused at the NBI,” the judge said.
Legaspi said the couple did not present during the court hearing evidence that would support their claim that Annaliza has a kidney ailment, such as a medical certificate and the testimony of a qualified doctor.
The couple’s lawyer, Joel Ferrer, said in the motion that it would be more convenient for the couple’s three children to visit them at the NBI detention center. – With Michael Punongbayan - By Reinir Padua (Philstar News Service, www.philstar.com)
An angry Prince William and his wife Catherine launched legal action on Friday against a French magazine that printed topless photographs of her.
ReplyDeleteThe publication of the pictures of the former Kate Middleton, taken while she and the second in line to the throne were on holiday in the south of France, evoked memories of the press harassment of William's mother Diana.
Palace officials said the royals, who are currently visiting Malaysia, considered the pictures published by the French version of Closer magazine to be a "grotesque" breach of privacy.
But the editor of the magazine defended the decision to publish the photographs, telling AFP they were "not in the least shocking".
The grainy pictures show Catherine, 30, wearing just the bottoms of a black and white bikini and having suncream rubbed on to her backside by William at the side of a swimming pool.
"Their Royal Highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner," their office at St James's Palace said.
"The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to The Duke and Duchess for being so."
Later, the royal family confirmed that "legal proceedings for breach of privacy have been commenced today in France by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge against the publishers of Closer Magazine France".
The palace said the royal couple "remain focused" on their tour of Singapore, Malaysia, the Solomon Islands and the tiny Pacific island of Tuvalu to mark the diamond jubilee of William's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
But royal aides told AFP that William and Catherine felt "anger and disbelief" and believed that a "red line has been crossed".
The incident "turns the clock back 15 years," one source said, referring to the intense media attention surrounding Diana, Princess of Wales, who died in a car crash while fleeing paparazzi in Paris in 1997.
William is believed to blame the paparazzi for his mother's death.
British Prime Minister David Cameron's spokesman said the royal couple were "entitled to their privacy." A source close to Cameron said he "echoes the sadness of the palace".
An extra cautious Gerald Anderson faced members of media at the launch of FHM’s September issue on September 13 at the Holiday Inn’s Bar One in Pasig City.
ReplyDeleteGerald is the magazine’s fourth man on the cover following Robin Padilla, Cesar Montano, and last year’s Derek Ramsay for the annual FHM Collections issue.
“Ang galing, ang galing. Sobra akong nagpapasalamat na naisip nila ako na gawing pang-apat after those guys na alam naman nating mga idol talaga,” he told members of the media.
For the job, Gerald went to Hong Kong – his first magazine shoot abroad.
While the “Budoy” star was mum about Sarah Geronimo, he enthusiastically talked about the FHM cover, upcoming drama series with Cristine Reyes and shooting director Tikoy Aguiluz’s “El Brujo.”
Back on TV and film
It’s been around five months since “Budoy” ended, and Gerald has made the most out of his break time.
“Natutulog ako. At saka exercise at saka marami akong sports na sinasalihan,” he shared, adding that he’s been into kayaking, running, and wall climbing.”
He’ll be back on the primetime block with a new series. Although there are no complete details yet, he shared that he will be starring with Cristine and Diana Zubiri, who is making a comeback on ABS-CBN.
Gerald said post-“Budoy” expectations are making them take their time in making an apt follow-up project.
“Yun mismo ang gagawin ho ng ABS. Syempre kaya medyo natagalan din. Kasi, you know, nag-iisip sila ng magandang follow-up. At nag-iisip din for me, and no rush para sakin, kumbaga. Unang-una sobra kong blessed to have projects from ABS at ngayon magsa-start na rin ako (uli), malapit na.”
Aguiluz’s latest production, according to Gerald, “is an action film na hindi naman fantasy pero may drama.”
El Brujo is Gerald’s first action film. Two shooting days short of wrapping up, Gerald revealed that he and co-actor Jake Cuenca are looking forward to doing the last few action scenes.
An extremely dedicated dog has continued to show its loyalty, keeping watch on its owner's grave six years after he passed away.
ReplyDeleteCapitan, a German shepherd, reportedly ran away from home after its owner, Miguel Guzman, died in 2006. A week later, the Guzman family found the dog sitting by his grave in central Argentina.
Miguel Guzman adopted Capitan in 2005 as a gift for his teenage son, Damian. And for the past six years, Capitan has continued to stand guard at Miguel's grave. The family says the dog rarely leaves the site.
"We searched for him, but he had vanished," widow Veronica Guzman told LaVoz.com. "We thought he must have got run over and died.
'The following Sunday we went to the cemetery, and Damian recognized his pet. Capitan came up to us, barking and wailing as if he were crying."
Adding to the unusual circumstances, Veronica says the family never brought Capitan to the cemetery before he was discovered there.
"It is a mystery how he managed to find the place," she said.
Cemetery director Hector Baccega says he and his staff have begun feeding and taking care of Capitan.
"He turned up here one day, all on his own, and started wandering all around the cemetery until he eventually found the tomb of his master," Baccega said.
"During the day he sometimes has a walk around the cemetery, but always rushes back to the grave. And every day, at six o'clock sharp, he lies down on top of the grave, stays there all night."
But the Guzman family hasn't abandoned Capitan. Damian says the family has tried to bring Capitan home several times but that he always returns to the cemetery on his own.
"I think he's going to be there until he dies, too. He's looking after my dad," he said.

ReplyDeletePhilippine media have their ample share of problems, one of them irresponsible reporting, but on the report on alleged support of Singapore for the Philippine position in the West Philippine Sea, they correctly reported what was officially conveyed to them.
The statement released by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs last Sept. 10 insulted Philippine media.
The statement:
"MFA has received media queries referring to articles in the Philippine Star and Manila Bulletin published on 9 September 2012, reporting that Singapore supported the Philippines' position in the South China Sea dispute during Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's meeting with Philippine President Benigno Aquino on the sidelines of the 20thAPEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Vladivostok on 8 September 2012. When asked whether this represents a change in Singapore's policy on the South China Sea, the MFA Spokesman said:
"We have seen the reports in question.
You all know how free the Filipino media is; they can even be very free with the facts.
There has been no change to Singapore's position.
"When PM Lee met President Aquino on 8 September 2012, he reiterated Singapore's consistent position, namely that we do not take sides on the merits or otherwise of the various specific disputes in the South China Sea. PM Lee called on all claimants to exercise restraint and for disputes to be resolved peacefully and in accordance with international law.
"We had made this clear after the 8 September meeting.
" Unlike the Filipino media reports you refer to, we deal with facts not fiction."
I was only able to retrieve online the Manila Bulletin article by Madel R. Sabater referred to in the statement. The head was "Singapore Backs PH Stand In South China Sea Dispute."
Dated Sept. 8, the dateline was Vladivostok, where the leaders of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation were meeting. The story was based on the briefing of Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario on the meeting of President Aquino and Singapore Prime Minister Lee.
The lead was "Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Saturday expressed support to the Philippines' efforts for a peaceful resolution of the dispute in the West Philippine Sea (SouthChina Sea).
The quote supporting the head, was the fifth paragraph which said: "He (del Rosario) said Aquino thanked Lee 'for the very strong support that Singapore has given the Philippines in terms of its position in the West Philippine Sea.'"
GMA News had the same story . It said, "On Saturday, del Rosario said Aquino thanked Lee for Singapore's support for the Philippines' position on the West Philippine Sea. " It used the same quote in the Manila Bulletin story.
The President also said more or less the same thing in his arrival statement: "Nagpaabot naman ng mainit na suporta ang mga pinuno ng mga bansang Singapore, Malaysia, at Vietnam ukol sa mga paksang may malawak na epekto't implikasyon sa ating rehiyon, partikular na sa usapin sa West Philippine Sea."
We understand that it would have serious diplomatic repercussions if the Singapore MFA insulted Del Rosario but must they insult Philippine media?
Without admitting the Del Rosario's mistake, the Department of Foreign Affairs issued the following statement: "''It is correct to say that Singapore is not taking sides in the territorial disputes in the WPS. Singapore supports the same principled position of the Phil. in pursuing a resolution of disputes through peaceful means in accordance with international law. It moreover encourages the exercise of restraint and is against the use of force. Finally, it also shares with us the desire to have an early conclusion of the ASEAN - China Code of Conduct of Parties in the SCS.''
Moral of the story: please be careful in issuing statements.
So, you are leaving your office and heading to a massage parlour to get a massage that will sanguinely enliven you!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a great idea but in order to get the best results out of your massage, there are a certain ‘must do’ things you need to take care of before and after massage.
Things to Do Before a Massage
1. Drink Plenty of Water
Water can only affect your body in a good way. It hydrates your body and helps flush out the toxins piled up in your body. In the event you do not drink enough water, the toxins in your body will leave your system sore and sick. Even doctors recommend that one should drink 8 to 12 oz of water every day.
2. Avoid Smoking
In case you are a smoker, make sure that you don’t smoke an hour prior to the massage session. Massaging helps your immune system release toxins through your skin. However, if this process happens soon after you lit your last cigarette, you won’t really like the resulting odour. And the fact that the odour is coming from your pores, it is going to stay with you long after the session has ended.
3. Listen to the Therapist
If you are new to the world of spas and massages, it would be advisable that you listen carefully to each and every instruction that the massage therapist has to dole out to you.
Things to Do After a Massage
Alright, you had an awesome massage but you can’t just dress up, pack your bags and go. Any therapist would recommend you to do a few things before you leave the parlour.
1. Steam Bath
Well, that’s the hottest thing you can do to your body, literally. A steam bath relaxes the muscles and leads to sweating, which helps in detoxifying the skin. Massage may already have been very relaxing, but a steam bath would be an icing on the cake.
2. Shower
Leaving the massage parlour without a good shower will be like missing out on the dessert post the main course. Apart from rejuvenating your senses, it also makes sure that all the oil is washed out from the skin so that it does not seep in.
3. Just Don’t Sleep
The massage sessions would be so relaxing that the first thing you would like to do is to hop into your bed and enjoy a sweet nap - which happens to be the WORST thing you could do to yourself. Resist this temptation at any cost, if you wish to get the best results out of your massage. Post massage, you need to be active and it’s not for nothing that your massage parlour have facilities for weight training and yoga. Working out after a massage will help you get in a better shape and leave you energized for the rest of the day.
With the ever-growing stress in your life, there are few better ways than a massage to bust that stress. Don’t cringe if you have to spend some extra bucks, for an hour of soothing massage is worth every penny.
The Palace is determined to end the protracted insurgency led by the Moro-Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Mindanao, as it enlisted new forces for a national peace campaign.
ReplyDeleteThe new group will not be armed with rifles but with charm and huge media influence.
President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III witnessed the swearing in of the Philippines' new "peace ambassadors" at the MalacaƱan Palace's Rizal Hall Friday.
This, as the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process launched the "I Am For Peace" campaign.
"[N]agkakaisa tayong tumataya upang manaig ang kapayapaan, at ipagsigawan sa bawat sulok ng ating bayan na 'I am for Peace' (We are one in having a stake on peace, and in proclaiming in every corner of our country that 'I am for Peace')," Aquino said in his keynote speech.
Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita "Ging" Deles swore in world-renowned singer apl.de.ap of Black Eyed Peas; actress Anne Curtis; composer Noel Cabangon; and Internet icon Ramon Bautista as new peace ambassadors.
Also sworn in were actors Epy Quizon, Gerald Anderson, Megan Young, Kiray, Igi Boy and Mikael Daez; musical artists Christian Bautista, Datu Khomeini, Ebe Dancel, and Gloc-9; TV host Rovilson Fernandez; the members of the Philippine Azkals;and fashion designers Arnold Galang and JC Buendia.
Actors Derek Ramsey, Karylle and Sam Concepcion, as well as social media personality Kimpoy Feliciano, were also ambassadors but were not present at the rites due to prior engagements.
Addressing the peace ambassadors and guests present during the ceremony, Aquino said: "Samahan ninyo ako: ihatid natin sa mas mapayapang bukas ang bawat Pilipino (Join me and together, let us create a more peaceful future for every Filipino)."
Deles, for her part, noted that aside from popular media personalities, business groups have also "committed to join" the campaign.
The government and the MILF on Aug. 13 ended the latest round of peace talks in Malaysia.
Panels from both sides have agreed to form technical working groups to study power-sharing and wealth-sharing arrangements, which are said to be "among the most difficult issues" hampering the peace process, an earlier Palace statement said.
It seems as if Shamcey Supsup already has everything a girl can wish for: a beauty pageant title, topping the architecture licensure exams and a great love life. But there’s a lot more that she wants to do.
ReplyDelete“I always talk with my friends. Sabi ko sana pag medyo experienced na tayo, we’ve explored all the places, we’ve worked in different constructions kasi architects, I would like really to go back and teach."
“Kasi it’s something na, it’s a legacy eh na even long after you’re gone what you teach these children will always be there, what you impart, the knowledge you give them will always be there. It’s something na parang kahit anong mangyayari, hindi mawawala. Kumbaga may maiiwan kang sarili mo ditto sa mundo,” Shamcey shared during the Miss Supranational press conference at the Gateway Suites last August 23.
Different kind of teaching
Shamcey also revealed that that she wants to teach construction.
She explained why she would like to focus on this masculine topic: “I want a different kind of teaching. Gusto ko yung much more practical, yung not just theories, not just books. I want to expose the students to real life, to real industry, to real construction. I want to give projects that will make them appreciate talaga, make them learn what they’ll be doing outside school.”
“Sana magawa ko. Pero that’s my dream,” she added.
The Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up graced the press conference to support Binibining PiIipinas 2012 first runner-up Elaine Kay Moll, the country’s first-ever representative to the Miss Supranational beauty pageant in Warsaw, Poland on September 14.
“Nakita ko yung dedication nya (Kay). Hindi sya agad nagrereklamo o nag-gi-give up every time may bagong challenge na binibigay sa kanya,” Shamcey observed.
Former world champion Ricky Hatton has confirmed he is coming out of retirement three years after his last fight.
ReplyDeleteHatton, who held world titles at Light Welterweight and Welterweight, turns 34 next month, but he will return to the ring on November 24 with a fight at the Manchester Arena against an unnamed opponent.
Hatton's last bout ended in disappointment with a second-round knockout by Manny Pacquiao in May 2009 and since then the British fighter has confessed to struggling with drink and drug problems.
He also established his own promotions company which hit difficulties in May when he lost his television deal with Sky.
"Why am I coming back? It's been well documented what's happened to me since the last time I've been in a boxing ring," Hatton said on Friday.
"I've started looking after myself a bit better and getting fitter and that's how it started. I don't want to be fighting at four or six-round levels - I want to fight for world titles.
"It's about more than money, this comeback. People say nice things about me but they don't know what's been going on in between my ears."
Hatton, who will be granted a new licence upon completion of a medical, admitted the thought of ending his career with that brutal defeat against Pacquiao also motivated him to get back into fighting shape.
"I didn't want my career to end that way," Hatton said. "It put me into retirement, which I never wanted to do.
"The manner of that defeat put me into some things which have been well documented. My life turned to mush.
"I got back into promoting, which I loved, but it didn't quite fill the void.
"I got a huge buzz getting opportunities for my fighters and I was in the gym every day of the week passing on the knowledge - but it didn't fill the gap."

ReplyDeleteFollowing John Lloyd Cruz’s admission about their relationship on “The Buzz,” Angelica Panganiban has opened up about how happy she feels.
ReplyDelete“Iba. Parang hindi mo alam na nag-e-exist pala yung ganoong klaseng happiness. Puwede pala iyon. May dalawang tao pala talagang magkakasundo and kaya niyong suportahan ang isa’t isa. Ganoon ka-simple, walang hassle, walang issue, walang problema,” Angelica said at the press conference of ABS-CBN’s gag show “Banana Split” in Napa Restaurant in Quezon City on Tuesday, October 30.
She added that John Lloyd’s statements didn’t necessarily make her feel complete. What makes her happy is the way he treats her.
Filling in the gaps
“Siguro mas masasabi kong mas okay ako ngayon, mas kumpleto yung pakiramdam ko dahil may taong nagpapasaya sa akin, nagpaparamdam sa akin at nagpupuno ng wala sa akin.”
The “Banana Split” star dispelled rumors that they had been long hiding their relationship.
“Wala naman kaming tinatago. Nagkataon lang na noong panahong tinatanong kami ay wala naman talaga. So mahirap bigyan ng label ang mga bagay na wala pa namang label. So ngayon alam na namin kung ano kami sa isa't isa, kapag tinanong kami diretso na din naming sasagutin,” Angelica said.
Angelica is happy for the positive feedback she is getting about her relationship with John Lloyd and refuses to entertain negative vibes.
“Ngayon na may nagsalita at inamin ni John Lloyd na kami na, may mga tao na 'Aamin din pala kayo.’ So, ano ba ang gusto ng publiko? Magsalita ba kami o hindi? So siguro mas maganda yung inamin na, kami na. Kung may masaya, good for you guys. Kung may hindi Masaya, sasaya din kayo eventually sa mga life niyo,” she said.
Barely friends
Although they both belong to ABS-CBN, Angelica admitted that she and John Lloyd were barely friends. They only started having a connection after she opened up to him about her experiences and eventually enjoyed talking to John Lloyd.
“Siguro dumating kami sa point na sa kuwentuhan, habang nag-kuwe-kuwentuhan, nagsi-share ako ng mga experiences at nangyari sa akin eh nagulat ako na may tao palang ganoon. Actually, may lalaking ganoon na pakikinggan ka hanggang matapos mo yung kuwento mo. Tapos nagulat ako na as in nakuwento ko nang hindi siya sumasabat. Basta iyon, tapos parang na-enjoy ko, enjoy ko yung kuwentuhan.”
Although they have opened up about their relationship, Angelica still wants to keep things as private as possible between her and John Lloyd.
“Ayaw ko nang bigyan ng detalye ang mga bagay bagay kasi hindi para pag-piyestahan ng mga tao ang personal kong buhay. Mas maganda yung ganoon, mas private, mas ako iyon, happiness naming dalawa iyon.”
Angelica will celebrate her birthday on the show, which is holding a month-long fourth anniversary saying that
Important birthday guest
Angelica will celebrate her birthday on “Banana Split,” in time for its month-long fourth anniversary special. She adds that someone important to her will be part of the guest list.
“Masaya kami na nabigyan kami ng ganitong opportunity na ma-explore pa yung ibang pwede naming gawin sa career namin. Isa kami sa mapapalad na mapasok sa “Banana Split.” Kaya siguro maganda yung rapport namin kasi parang magkakapatid na yung turingan naming kaya mas nagging effective yung comedy,” Angelica said.
“Banana Split” also stars John Prats, Zanjoe Marudo, Pooh, Jason Gainza, Melai Cantiveros and Ryan Bang.
It won the Best Gag Show award at the 24th PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) Star Awards for Television.
Unannounced visit to Manila
ReplyDeletePark flew into Manila virtually unannounced on Oct. 23 She teased fans with a tweet at 5:38 a.m. of the same day, saying "Magandang umaga sa inyong lahat~!!! ang aga ko nagising!!! Have a nice day! :)" ("Good morning to everyone~!!! I woke up early!!! Have a nice day! ;)).
When word got out that the charismatic entertainer was in town for the Big Bang concert, fans went on a Twitter frenzy, sending the hashtag #MABUHAYDARA straight to the top of Twitter's Philippine trends.
Over the next few days, Park's natural charm and self-deprecating humor was evident on Twitter, where she tweets as @krungy21—a reference to her Pinoy showbiz nickname, "Ang Pambansang Krung Krung," a made-up word that means kooky or mental.
Switching from Filipino, Korean, and English, she kept both Korean and Filipino fans up-to-date on her sudden, unexpected vacation.
Tweets and twitpics
In Manila, she tweeted a photo of herself striking a pose at the Promenade Mall in Greenhills, San Juan. She uploaded pictures of popular Filipino icons, including fast food meals from competing giants Jollibee and McDonald's. Seemed like Dara missed her Chickenjoy and Longganiza with Rice.
Dara also tweeted to followers that she jet-skied in Subic. True to form, she uploaded pictures of the concert, featuring fans (and herself) holding up their fierce Big Bang lightsticks.
Missing Manila
Days after her return to Korea, Park clearly had a Manila hangover. At 12:14 p.m. on Oct. 28, she waxed sentimental, tweeting the lyrics to the classic pop hit by Hotdog called"Manila." Dara wrote: "Maraming beses na kitang nilayasan~iniwanan at ibang pinuntahan~parang lalaking mahirap talagang malimutan~ikaw lamang ang aking binabalikan" ("Many times I left~left and went to another place, like a man difficult to forget, I return only to you.").
Four minutes later, she followed this up with a picture of the Manila cityscape, apparently taken from the airplane she was riding, and completed the chorus of the song: "Manila~ Manila~ I keep coming back to Manila~ simply no place like Manila~ Manila I'm coming home~~~!!! hehehe."
Over the course of the past week, Sandara Park showed why she is both Korea's Queen of Social Media and a popular adopted daughter of the Philippines. Since relaunching a Twitter account, she retitled her profile description to "Pambansang KrungKrung ng Pilipinas." Dara has engaged followers in three languages, kept information coming, and stayed true to herself and her Filipino roots.
Few people can do it the way Sandara Park can, and that's is one of the many reasons why she remains well-loved.
